Throughout his 40-year career, RR worked with artists of very diverse styles. There are his most well-known and celebrated productions, such as his albums with the Beastie Boys (at the beginning of the Def Jam label) or the albums that rescued Johnny Cash (American Recordings), but he was also behind works by Jay-Z, Joe Strummer , Adele or Metallica, among many, many others.

The invisible thread that unites these artists is the curiosity and unprejudice of RR. Otherwise it cannot be explained that he is the same person who was behind such different albums as De-Loused in the Comatorium , Mars Volta's debut album, and Shakira's Fijación Oral Vol 1 , which had him as executive producer.
