Former England captain Michael Vaughan has slammed the scheduling of the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. His criticism came amid Afghanistan losing to South Africa by 9 wickets in a one-sided affair in semi-final 1 of the T20 World Cup 2024. Vaughan felt that India's semi-final clash against England should have taken place earlier and pointed out that Afghanistan did not get enough practice time to get accustomed to the conditions.
