Heavy rains lashed Delhi and adjoining areas of NCR on Friday morning, with the India Meteorological Department saying that a moderate to intense spell of rain is likely to continue in Delhi for the next couple of hours. According to IMD officials, the Safdarjung base station recorded 228.1 mm of rainfall during the past 24 hours till 8.30 am Friday. From 2.30 am to 5.30 am, the Safdarjung station recorded 148.5 mm of rainfall. Flight operations have been affected
